All Phone Number Locations in Silent Hill Townfall

Updated 2026-09-20 · Category: Collectibles

ANSWER // DIRECT

Phone numbers are the collectible tied to the silver trophy Cold Calling, which requires you to call all the phone numbers found in St. Amelia. Phones do double duty in this game: they are also where manual saving happens, so you will interact with them constantly. The catch to plan for is the gold trophy Reject The Help, which requires that after meeting Richard you never use a phone to save again. Number counts and locations have not been published, so this page covers the system and the trophy conflict.

The trophy and what it asks

Both trophy descriptions are recorded identically by two independent databases. Note that Cold Calling requires calling the numbers, not merely finding them.

Phones are your save points

Manual saving in Townfall happens at phone booths, with autosaves announced by the series' familiar red square. That means the phone network is part of your basic route planning, not a side system.

The convenient consequence is that your saving route and your dialling route overlap. Make a habit of checking for an undialled number every time you stop to save.

The Reject The Help conflict

Reject The Help is a gold trophy that forbids using phones to save after you meet Richard. Cold Calling pushes you toward heavy phone use. On the surface these pull in opposite directions.

Logically they need not conflict — dialling a number is a different interaction from saving — but nobody has tested whether the game distinguishes them. Assume they might conflict until that is confirmed.

The safe plan is to separate them: hunt Cold Calling on your thorough run, and attempt Reject The Help on a New Game Plus run where you already know the route and do not need frequent saves.

Who Richard is

Richard, voiced by Terry O'Quinn, is the enigmatic man who summons Simon back to St. Amelia and sets the game's events in motion. He reaches Simon through the CRTV, asking him to come back and put things right.

His relationship to Simon has deliberately not been revealed by Konami, and we will not speculate about it. What matters mechanically is that meeting him starts the clock on Reject The Help.

The telephone motif and the CRTV motif are two halves of the same idea in this game: voices reaching Simon through unreliable communication channels.

How to find numbers

  • Read every document — a written number is the most likely source
  • Tune every CRTV signal, since signals unlock narrative logs that may carry numbers
  • Dial immediately rather than collecting a list you might not finish
  • Keep your own log, because there is no published total to check against

What is still unverified

STATUS // UNVERIFIED

How many numbers exist, where each is found, what calling each one triggers, and whether any hidden numbers exist are all unknown from any reliable source. We will not invent phone numbers — a fabricated number is a wasted trip in a game where movement is dangerous. From September 22 we will publish a per-chapter list and explicitly test whether dialling counts as "using a phone" for Reject The Help.

Where numbers are likely to come from

Two sources are plausible on the evidence we have. Documents are the confirmed carrier of written information in this game, including puzzle codes, which makes them the obvious place for a number.

CRTV signals are the other candidate, since tuning unlocks narrative logs — and a recorded voice reading a number would suit a game built on analogue transmission.

Both are collectible sets in their own right, so a thorough run at documents and signals is likely to be a thorough run at phone numbers too.

Phones as a design motif

Townfall keeps putting people at the other end of unreliable equipment. Zoe reaches Simon through layers of static on the CRTV; Richard uses the same device to summon him back to St. Amelia.

Phones make that two-way. The CRTV brings voices to you, and a phone is you choosing to reach out — which makes dialling every number a genuine piece of exploration rather than a checklist.

It is probably not a coincidence that the trophy forbidding phone saves is called Reject The Help.

Running both phone trophies without losing either

  • Run one: dial every number you find and save freely — this is your Cold Calling run
  • Run two (New Game Plus): after meeting Richard, never save at a phone, for Reject The Help
  • During the restricted run, rely on autosaves, flagged with the series' red square
  • Keep the two goals on separate runs until the game confirms dialling and saving are distinct

Where this sits in a completion plan

Cold Calling is one of six collectible trophies, all required for the platinum alongside New Game Plus, all five endings and a run under four hours.

Unlike documents, there is no halfway trophy here, so there is no progress marker to tell you how you are doing until the set is complete.

That makes your own notes the only tracking you have. Record each number and whether you actually dialled it.

What we will test first

  • The total number of phone numbers, and whether any are hidden
  • Where each one is found, listed by chapter
  • What calling each number actually triggers
  • Whether dialling counts as "using a phone" for Reject The Help

Why a wrong number list would be worse than none

Dialling happens at phone booths, which are fixed points you have to travel to. A fabricated number therefore costs you a trip through patrolled streets for nothing.

It may also cost you a trophy indirectly. If you are running Reject The Help, every unnecessary visit to a phone is a chance to press the wrong prompt.

That is why this page stays at mechanics until we have a list we have dialled ourselves.

Silent Hill Townfall FAQ

How many phone numbers are in Silent Hill Townfall?

No verifiable source gives a count. We will publish a per-chapter list once we have found them ourselves.

What is the Cold Calling trophy?

A silver trophy for calling all the phone numbers found in St. Amelia — calling them, not merely finding them.

Are phones also save points?

Yes. Manual saving happens at phone booths, with autosaves flagged by the series' red square.

Can I get Cold Calling and Reject The Help in one run?

Unknown. Dialling and saving are logically different actions, but until the game confirms it treats them separately, use two runs.
