Walk back down the street to the phone booth and dial 496 0556. When the call prompts you, press 3, then 2, then 2 again, then 1. Then go round to the back car park of the Medical Centre, enter through the garage door, and press the button beside the phone in the office to open the gates beside the building.

How you reach the Medical Centre

Part 2 starts in the Community Gardens and crosses into the north half of Shorefront before you reach the security booth.

Community Gardens: open the lock on the shed with 1993, the year on the flower bed with Jane Chalmers's name on it.
Take the Community Garden Key from the shelf on the right inside the shed, and use it on the garden gate.
Mr. Stewart's House, Shorefront District – North: after you see the monster for the first time, go back into the bathroom. Mr. Stewart's Key is to the right of the tub.
Use the key on the back door you came in through to leave the house.
Outside the Medical Centre, inspect the paper on the window of the security booth. That is the Medical Security Note.

Pick up the note before you dial, even if you already know the number. Townfall will not complete a puzzle step until you have its clue.

After the call: opening the gates

The call on its own does not open the way in. Go to the back car park of the Medical Centre and interact with the garage door to enter. Go into the office and press the button beside the phone. That opens the gates beside the building.

If the call does not work

Make sure you have picked up the Medical Security Note from the security booth window
Check that you dialled all seven digits: 496 0556
Wait for each prompt before pressing the next key
Save before you call by dialling 100 from any phone, so a wrong option costs you a reload rather than a guess

What comes next

The next part of the route, Journey to Medical, goes back through the town square. In Town Square (5) there is a box holding the Pistol. You have to choose "Yes" to take it: that is what shifts the town into the Otherworld and lets the story move on.

Then go to Flemington Street in Shorefront District – North and use the Scalpel on the rusty door there. Part 3, The Patient, begins inside the St. Amelia Medical Center.

The number 496 0556 is also one of the phone numbers found in St. Amelia. The silver trophy Cold Calling asks you to call every one of those, so dialling it here should count toward it. We have not confirmed that.
