Guide
CASE // 001Full walkthrough, beginner advice, chapter beats, run length and New Game Plus — the spine of a first playthrough.
Silent Hill Townfall Walkthrough
The Silent Hill: Townfall main story runs through nine confirmed beats: escaping the Otherworld back to the town square, Zoe at the Shorefront Family Clinic, reporting to Dr. Glenn at the Medical Centre, the mission "The Patient", the transfusion in the Alternate Medical Centre, opening the road to CEG Tower, returning to the tenth-floor office, exhausting your options in the Alternate Facility, and finally defeating The Weight. Expect 10-14 hours, and expect to tune, hide and solve far more often than you fight.
Silent Hill Townfall Beginner Guide
Three things matter most before your first run of Silent Hill: Townfall. Avoid fights wherever you can — director Jon McKellan put it as "if you go in swinging, you're gonna have a bad time". Save at phone booths, because that is where manual saving happens. And respect the damage numbers: on normal difficulty two or three hits kill you. Combat difficulty (story, normal, nightmare) and puzzle difficulty (hinted or normal) are set separately, so you can make the fighting easier without giving up the puzzles.
Silent Hill Townfall — How Long to Beat
Silent Hill: Townfall takes about 10 to 14 hours to finish the main story, with the spread depending on how you play. A speedrun is much shorter — there is a silver trophy for finishing in under four hours. Full completion sits well above the story time, because it requires a New Game Plus run, all five endings, and every document, postcard, CRTV signal, phone number and resource container.
Silent Hill Townfall Chapters
Konami has not published a chapter list or a chapter count for Silent Hill: Townfall, so nobody can honestly tell you the game has a specific number of chapters. What is verifiable is the order of nine story beats, recorded identically by two trophy databases, plus the mission names "The Patient" and "Rounds". Use those beats as your progress marker: reaching the transfusion in the Alternate Medical Centre puts you around the middle, and defeating The Weight is the end.
Silent Hill Townfall New Game Plus
Yes, Silent Hill: Townfall has New Game Plus, and you need it. A silver trophy, Reliving A Nightmare, is awarded for completing NG+ on any difficulty, so the lowest setting counts. Two of the five endings — Dog and Sci-fi — are hidden endings that require New Game Plus, while the three main endings are reachable on a first run. NG+ is also reported to be significantly faster and to include unlockable weapons.
Endings
CASE // 002All five endings — Justice, Forever, Abandoned, Dog and Sci-fi — and how the game actually decides which one you get.
Silent Hill Townfall All Endings
Silent Hill: Townfall has five endings: Justice, Forever, Abandoned, Dog and Sci-fi. Three of them — Justice, Forever and Abandoned — are main endings reachable on a first playthrough, and each awards a gold trophy. Dog and Sci-fi are hidden endings that require New Game Plus and award silver trophies. Crucially, there is no A/B choice that decides which one you get: the director has confirmed the ending is determined by how you play across the whole run, and Konami does not designate any of them as canon.
How to Get the Justice Ending in Silent Hill Townfall
The Justice ending is one of the three main endings in Silent Hill: Townfall, reachable on a first playthrough, and it awards the gold trophy For St. Amelia. There is no choice you pick to get it — the director has confirmed endings are decided by how you play across the entire run, including your aggression level, how thoroughly you investigate and how long you spend in each area. Verified trigger conditions do not exist yet, and we will not invent them.
How to Get the Forever Ending in Silent Hill Townfall
The Forever ending is one of the three main endings in Silent Hill: Townfall and can be reached on a first playthrough, awarding the gold trophy Here To Stay. It is not selected by a dialogue option: endings are determined by your cumulative behaviour across the run — play style, thoroughness, aggression and time spent in areas. No verified trigger conditions have been published, and this page will not fabricate any.
How to Get the Abandoned Ending in Silent Hill Townfall
The Abandoned ending is the third of Silent Hill: Townfall's main endings, reachable on a first playthrough, and it awards the gold trophy Just Making Things Worse. Like the others it is not chosen from a menu — the game reads your whole run, weighing play style, investigation, aggression and time spent in areas. Its specific trigger conditions have not been verified by anyone yet, so this page states the mechanic rather than guessing the recipe.
How to Get the Dog Ending in Silent Hill Townfall
The Dog ending is one of Silent Hill: Townfall's two hidden endings, which means it requires New Game Plus — you cannot get it on a first playthrough. It awards the silver trophy Let's Talk This Out. As with every ending in the game, there is no A/B choice that triggers it; the outcome is read from how you played the whole run. Its exact unlock conditions have not been verified, and we will not publish unsourced steps.
How to Get the Sci-fi Ending in Silent Hill Townfall
The Sci-fi ending is the second of Silent Hill: Townfall's two hidden endings and requires New Game Plus, so it is not available on a first run. It awards the silver trophy Sci-fi-lent Hill. There is no option you select to get it — the ending is determined by your behaviour across the whole playthrough. No verified unlock conditions exist yet, so this page covers the confirmed mechanics instead of inventing a route.
Puzzles
CASE // 003How CRTV tuning drives every puzzle, the confirmed puzzle types, and the trophies players mistake for missions.
Silent Hill Townfall Puzzle Solutions
Puzzles in Silent Hill: Townfall run through the CRTV. You tune unstable signals to pick up audio and video transmissions that unlock narrative logs and the key clues for a puzzle, then act on them — usually by finding a code in a scattered document or restoring power to a dark room before you can work in it. Two specific puzzles are confirmed from hands-on footage: a fuse box that needs a prepaid power card, and an organ donation box secured with a combination lock. Puzzle difficulty is a separate setting from combat, so you can switch to hinted mode at any time.
How to Complete Cold Calling in Silent Hill Townfall
Cold Calling is not a mission — it is a silver trophy, and its requirement is to call all the phone numbers found in St. Amelia. So the real task is collecting phone numbers as you explore and then dialling every one of them before you finish the game. The complication to plan for is that phones are also the game's manual save points, and a separate gold trophy, Reject The Help, requires you to stop using phones to save after you meet Richard.
How to Complete Sweeping Signals in Silent Hill Townfall
Sweeping Signals is a silver trophy, not a mission, and its requirement is to tune into all signals on the CRTV. The task is therefore to sweep every area thoroughly with the handheld television and lock onto each signal it can receive. On PS5 you tune using the controller's gyro, and a correctly tuned signal unlocks narrative logs plus key puzzle clues — which makes signals both a collectible set and a progression resource.
How to Complete Blur Your Eyes in Silent Hill Townfall
Blur Your Eyes is a silver trophy, not a mission or a puzzle, and its requirement is to collect all of the strange postcards. So the task is a collectible hunt: find every one of the strange postcards scattered through St. Amelia during your run. The trophy name hints that the postcards may need to be viewed in some particular way to reveal what is on them, but that is an inference from the title and has not been confirmed by Konami or by any preview.
Collectibles
CASE // 004All five collectible sets: documents, strange postcards, CRTV signals, phone numbers and resource containers.
Silent Hill Townfall All Collectibles
Silent Hill: Townfall has five collectible types: documents, strange postcards, CRTV signals, phone numbers and resource containers. Each has its own trophy, and documents have two — one at 50% and a gold trophy for the full set, which makes them the largest collection in the game. All five sets are required for the platinum, alongside New Game Plus and all five endings. Total counts and locations have not been published by anyone yet, so this page covers the sets and how they work rather than inventing numbers.
All CRTV Signal Locations in Silent Hill Townfall
CRTV signals are the collectible tied to the silver trophy Sweeping Signals, which asks you to tune into all signals on the CRTV. Each signal you lock onto unlocks narrative logs and key puzzle clues, so they are both a collectible and a progression resource. On PS5 you tune using the DualSense gyro. The total number of signals and their exact locations have not been published by anyone, so this page explains the system in full and the location table follows verified play.
All Document Locations in Silent Hill Townfall
Documents are the largest collectible set in Silent Hill: Townfall and the only one with two trophies — Observation at 50% and the gold trophy Thorough Inspection for the complete set. They are also functional rather than decorative: when a locked object needs a code, the clue is typically in a scattered document, so missing documents can leave you stuck on a puzzle. Total counts and per-chapter locations have not been published by anyone yet, and we will not guess them.
All Phone Number Locations in Silent Hill Townfall
Phone numbers are the collectible tied to the silver trophy Cold Calling, which requires you to call all the phone numbers found in St. Amelia. Phones do double duty in this game: they are also where manual saving happens, so you will interact with them constantly. The catch to plan for is the gold trophy Reject The Help, which requires that after meeting Richard you never use a phone to save again. Number counts and locations have not been published, so this page covers the system and the trophy conflict.
Weapons
CASE // 005Every confirmed weapon, why none of them is a reliable answer, and the two special pickups with their own trophies.
Best Weapons in Silent Hill Townfall
Nine weapons are confirmed in Silent Hill: Townfall — Plank, Pipe, Pistol, Shotgun, Flare Gun, Bottle, Brick, plus the Axe and the Pistol-3000. There is no single best one, because the design deliberately punishes leaning on any of them: melee weapons break after a few encounters, ammunition is scarce, and firing a gun pulls more enemies toward you. The most useful items in practice are the bottle and the brick, which work as distraction tools rather than damage, and the strongest play in most encounters is not fighting at all.
Where to Find the Pistol-3000 in Silent Hill Townfall
The Pistol-3000 is a confirmed weapon in Silent Hill: Townfall, separate from the ordinary Pistol, and obtaining it awards the silver trophy Future Hardware. The fact that simply acquiring it carries a trophy strongly suggests it is not a guaranteed main-path pickup and may be missable. Its exact location has not been published by any verifiable source before launch, so this page covers what is confirmed and what the trophy name hints at, without inventing a pickup point.
Where to Find the Axe in Silent Hill Townfall
The Axe is a confirmed obtainable weapon in Silent Hill: Townfall, and picking it up awards the silver trophy Here's Simon! — a nod to The Shining. Because acquiring it carries its own trophy, it is not a guaranteed story pickup, which makes it optional and possibly missable. Its exact location has not been published by any verifiable source yet. What is known is that melee weapons in this game degrade with use, and whether the Axe is an exception has not been tested.
Monsters
CASE // 006The Axe Heads, the Widows, the late-game tentacled enemy and the boss The Weight — and the tools that handle them.
Silent Hill Townfall Monsters
Four enemy types are confirmed in Silent Hill: Townfall. The Axe Heads are the main enemy — fast bipedal figures with axe-blade faces that you cannot outrun. The Widows appear in numbers and are dealt with by silencing rather than killing. A tentacled enemy with both ranged and melee attacks appears in later areas. And The Weight is the one confirmed boss, fought near the end of the story. The intended answer to almost all of them is avoidance, not combat.
How to Beat The Weight in Silent Hill Townfall
The Weight is the one confirmed boss in Silent Hill: Townfall, fought at the end of the campaign — it comes directly after the Alternate Facility story beat, and defeating it awards the Eraser trophy. No verified strategy exists yet, because nobody outside the development team has fought it. What you can do is prepare correctly: you can lower combat difficulty to story at any point without losing any trophy, since the list contains no difficulty-related trophies at all.
How to Silence Widows in Silent Hill Townfall
Widows are a confirmed enemy in Silent Hill: Townfall, and a bronze trophy — Missing The Point Entirely — asks you to silence 30 of them. The wording is deliberate: the game says silence, not kill. Given that this is a game built entirely around sound as a threat, the most likely reading is that Widows raise an alarm and call other enemies toward you, making quieting them the point. The exact method for silencing one has not been shown by anyone, and we will not guess at it.
Characters
CASE // 007Simon Ordell, Zoe Ellis and Richard, their voice cast, and the names that only appear in trophy text.
Silent Hill Townfall Characters
Three characters have been officially announced for Silent Hill: Townfall. Simon Ordell, voiced by Jovan Adepo, is the man called back to the remote Scottish settlement to put things right. Zoe Ellis, voiced by Kezia Burrows, is a compassionate nurse whose voice reaches Simon through the static on the CRTV. Richard, voiced by Terry O'Quinn, is the enigmatic man who summons Simon back and sets events in motion. Two more names — Dr. Glenn and the Patient — appear in the confirmed story beats.
Silent Hill Townfall Alyssa — Is There Such a Character?
There is no character named Alyssa in Silent Hill: Townfall. Three independent sources — Konami's official voice cast announcement, the Silent Hill Memories character page and the Wikipedia entry — all list the same three characters and none of them is Alyssa. If you are searching for this name, you are almost certainly thinking of Alessa Gillespie from the original 1999 Silent Hill. Townfall is a self-contained story set in Scotland in 1996, and no connection to Alessa has been announced.
Trophies
CASE // 008All 37 trophies, the two-run platinum route, and the three trophies you have to plan for in advance.
Silent Hill Townfall Trophy Guide
Silent Hill: Townfall has 37 trophies — 1 platinum, 5 gold, 9 silver and 22 bronze. This checklist groups every trophy by story progress, endings, collectibles and challenges; Doing The Right Thing is the platinum awarded for collecting every other trophy.
Silent Hill Townfall Platinum Guide
The platinum, Doing The Right Thing, requires every other trophy: New Game Plus, all five endings, every collectible set, both weapon pickups and the challenge trophies. There are no difficulty trophies, so story difficulty is an option for the whole route.
Silent Hill Townfall Missable Trophies
Plan ahead for Reject The Help, Save It For The Patients and Creative Process. Their phone-saving restriction, no-healing mission window and single-playthrough weapon requirement need deliberate preparation. A complete classification of permanently missable trophies is not yet verified.
Release Date
CASE // 009Launch timing per region, the platform question, and how the Deluxe edition grants 48 hours of early access.
Silent Hill Townfall Release Date
Silent Hill: Townfall releases on September 24, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and PC, confirmed by Konami's own announcement. Digital Deluxe buyers play 48 hours earlier, from September 22. Based on SteamDB, unlock is expected at 9:00 AM Pacific on launch day, which is noon Eastern, 5:00 PM in the UK and 1:00 AM on September 25 in Japan. There is no Xbox or Switch 2 version listed, so it appears to be a PS5 console exclusive.
Silent Hill Townfall Early Access
The only way to play Silent Hill: Townfall early is to buy the Digital Deluxe Edition at $59.99, which grants 48 hours of early access. That means playing from September 22 instead of the standard September 24 launch. Note the terminology: "early access" here means playing the finished game two days ahead of everyone else, not an unfinished Steam Early Access build. There is no other route — no preorder tier, subscription or bonus grants it.
