Silent Hill Townfall CEG Tower Codes: Richard's Box, Security Room and Finance

Richard's box is box 36 in the lobby seating of CEG HQ, in Chapter 11, Inside CEG HQ. Its code is 486, but you need both halves of the Grid of Codes first: one is in the Maintenance room bin, the other in the Security room bin, and the Security room opens with 4895 from the Maintenance whiteboard. The box holds Employee ID 00007820518, which prints the access card for the elevator. Later, in Chapter 13, the Finance door on the 3rd floor takes 2709 from the CEG Checkout Sheet.

How to find Richard's box
The box puzzle is a short chain. The game generally refuses a correct code until you hold its clue, so pick up every paper on the way rather than walking straight to the box.
- Take the ground-floor map from behind the reception desk, then read Box IDs and Names on the podium on the stage at the back of the lobby. It assigns Richard box 36.
- Go to the Maintenance room in the northwest corner. Take the first half of the Grid of Codes from the bin by the computer, and look at the whiteboard.
- Go to the Security room near the front entrance and enter 4895. The whiteboard shows it as a path: start on 4 and follow the arrows across the keypad.
- Take the second half of the Grid of Codes from the Security room bin and combine the two halves in your inventory.
- Find box 36 in the seating and enter 486. Take the Employee File Cover Note.
- At the Employee Database computer, enter Employee ID 00007820518, switch on the printer to the left and print the access card. Use the Printed Access Card on the elevator.
Sources disagree on where box 36 sits. PowerPyx counts it as the third row up from the podium, seventh box along; The Nerd Stash says third row from the front, sixth box across. Check both if the first one does not take the code. Neither source explains how the combined grid turns into 486, so we give the code without the working.

Searches for a Richard locker code almost always mean this box: it is the only container tied to Richard by name, and the 486 code opens it. The numbered lockers with barcodes (75, 17, 204 and 94) are in the CEG Employee Lockers building in Clara Woods, one chapter earlier, and open with PINs from the barcode scanner.
Once you play as Richard, the only other locker in our sources is the optional one in the first parking-lot building in Chapter 12, which opens with 147.
The Finance door code and the projector parts
In Chapter 13 Richard has to repair the Boardroom projector on the 5th floor. The lens is behind the Finance door on the 3rd floor, so the Finance code is part of the main route, not an extra.
Next: the projector and the slide order
- Take Access Card – Level 3/4 from the Boardroom table after the cutscene.
- Go through Public Relations on the 3rd floor and up its stairs to the Media Department on the 4th floor. The CEG Storeroom Key is beside a body in the west room.
- In the storeroom, open the GENERAL STORAGE cabinet: it holds the Projector Bulb and the CEG Checkout Sheet.
- Back on the 3rd floor, scan the Access Card at the Finance door, enter 2709 and press OK. The Projector Lens is in a desk drawer in the CFO room.
Optional storerooms: worth opening?
Richard's Note, on the ground beside a body in the southeast room of Public Relations, lists three storeroom codes. All three rooms hold supplies only, so they matter if you are short on Shotgun ammunition or healing, not for progress.
Missing The Point Entirely: the 30 Widows trophy
- 1607 — Public Relations Records, 3rd floor
- 1306 — Operations Storage, 2nd floor
- 4512 — Administration Storage, 1st floor
- Widows hunt Richard through these floors. If you are going for Missing The Point Entirely, the extra supplies help keep the Shotgun loaded.
If a CEG code is refused
- Box 36 ignores 486: you have not combined both halves of the Grid of Codes, or you have not read Box IDs and Names on the podium
- Security room keypad dead: read the Maintenance whiteboard first
- Finance keypad does nothing: scan the Access Card at the reader before typing 2709
- Elevator refuses the card: print it from the Employee Database computer with the printer switched on, and pick it up from the printer
