Missing The Point Entirely Trophy in Silent Hill Townfall

Updated 2026-10-06 · Category: Trophies

ANSWER // DIRECT

Missing The Point Entirely is a bronze trophy for silencing 30 Widows. Widows are the knife-wielding enemies that stalk Richard through CEG Tower in Part 5, and "silence" here means kill: Game Rant ties the trophy to killing 30 of them. Use the Shotgun, which drops a Widow in one or two shots. Plan for it to take more than one visit. PowerPyx met fewer than 30 Widows in a Story Mode run. The good news: kills as Richard do not touch your ending score.

The trophy at a glance

The name is a joke at your expense. Townfall is built around avoiding fights, and grinding through 30 of one enemy is exactly the way the designers did not expect you to play.

Where to find Widows

Widows are Part 5 enemies: PowerPyx lists them as the enemies in Richard's tower, and Game Rant describes them stalking him from the dark and from behind corners across the floors of CEG Tower on the way to the 10th floor.

The busiest stretch is Chapter 13, Richard: Another Attempt, when you loop between the 5th-floor Boardroom and the offices below it for the projector parts, the Finance lens and the slides. Every trip through the 2nd to 5th floors is another chance to meet one.

How to kill Widows quickly

Ammunition is not the problem here. Game Rant picked up more than 60 Shotgun shells in the tower and used about 40 killing every Widow it met. The Shotgun stays in your inventory after Part 5 but its ammunition does not, so spend it freely before the chapter ends.

Optional CEG storerooms with extra supplies

  1. Keep the Shotgun out on the stairs and in doorways. Widows close the distance fast, so you want the shot ready before they reach you.
  2. Fire as soon as one is in close range. Game Rant puts it at one or two Shotgun shots per Widow.
  3. If it backs off after the first shot, aim and fire again before it disappears round a corner.
  4. Loot the bodies scattered through the tower: they are where most Shotgun shells come from.

Why one run may not be enough

Game Rant killed every Widow it met but does not say how many that was. PowerPyx is more direct: in one Story Mode run it met fewer than 30, so it plans for the trophy to finish on New Game Plus.

Our sources do not confirm whether Widow kills add up across playthroughs. Treat it as a two-run trophy: kill every Widow you meet on your first run, then do the same again in Part 5 of New Game Plus. If it still has not unlocked, you will at least know the count does not carry over.

What New Game Plus keeps and what it resets

Your ending is safe

The three main endings come from a hidden score in which each enemy Simon kills costs 2 points. PowerPyx found that kills made as Zoe or Richard do not change the score at all; they only show in the end-of-game statistics.

Every Widow dies at Richard's hands, so you can hunt all of them on a run aimed at Justice or Forever without moving your ending. Do not let the higher kill total on the statistics screen worry you.

  • Creative Process: one kill each with Plank, Pipe, Pistol, Shotgun, Flare Gun, Bottle and Brick in a single run. The Shotgun kill comes free here
  • Find Yourself: unlocks at the end of the same chapter, after the projector slides
  • Fleeting Visit: finish in under 4 hours. Do not try to combine it with a Widow hunt
