Is Silent Hill Townfall Coming to Xbox or Switch 2?
Updated 2026-10-11 · Category: Release Date
Not yet. Silent Hill: Townfall is out on PlayStation 5 and PC only: Steam and the Epic Games Store from September 24, 2026, and GOG from October 9. There is no Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2 or PS4 version. The fine print on Konami's August gameplay trailer reads "Not available on other consoles until at least 6 months after release date", so the earliest an Xbox or Switch 2 version could arrive is around March 24, 2027. That is a minimum, not an announcement: Konami has not confirmed any other version.

The six-month clause
Konami never published a press release about exclusivity. The clue is in the closing card of the 19-minute gameplay video released in August 2026: "Also available on PC. Not available on other consoles until at least 6 months after release date."
Six months after the September 24 launch is March 24, 2027. Pure Xbox read the card as a sign that Townfall will likely reach Xbox, but stressed that it is not a confirmation, and TechRadar noted that Xbox and Switch 2 are absent from every official listing.
The wording matters: "at least" makes six months a floor, not a date. Nothing in the clause promises that any other version exists.

The Silent Hill 2 remake is the closest match: a timed PS5 console exclusive with a PC version, followed by Xbox about a year later. Pure Xbox suggests expecting a similar wait for Townfall, or possibly no Xbox release at all.
| Game | Launch platforms | Xbox |
|---|---|---|
| Silent Hill 2 (remake) | PS5 and PC | Came to Xbox Series X|S just over a year after launch |
| Silent Hill f | PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC | Day one |
| Silent Hill: Townfall | PS5 and PC | Not announced |
Should Xbox players wait or switch?
If you have a PC that meets the requirements, it is the only way to play on non-Sony hardware today. Townfall is a single-player game of about 10 to 14 hours, so there is no online community to miss by switching.
If you only own an Xbox or a Switch 2, there is nothing to pre-order and no date to plan around. Any port would arrive after March 2027 at the earliest.
