Silent Hill: Townfall follows Simon Ordell, who is called back to St. Amelia, a fog-bound island town on the Scottish coast in 1996, to "put things right". The town looks abandoned but is not at rest, and Simon has to work out what his own connection to it is. Two voices pull him in: Richard (Terry O'Quinn), the man who summoned him, and Zoe (Kezia Burrows), a nurse who reaches him through the static of his CRTV. It is a full-length, self-contained first-person psychological horror game with stealth, combat, CRTV-driven puzzles and five endings shaped by how you play.

The official synopsis
The store description sets it up in one line: returning to an island town to "put things right", Simon Ordell descends into a world of tense evasion, explosive confrontations and mind-bending puzzles that slowly surface the truth of St. Amelia.
The longer version adds that Simon finds the town "lying quiet beneath a heavy fog, seemingly abandoned but not at rest", and that he is driven to understand his connection to the place and the people in it. Konami calls it a tale of introspection, loss and consequence.
Who calls Simon back
Two characters frame the story from the start. Richard, voiced by Terry O'Quinn, is the man who summons Simon back to St. Amelia. Zoe, voiced by Kezia Burrows, is a nurse who reaches Simon through the static on his CRTV and wants him to come back to her.
Behind both of them is CEG, the energy company whose money revived the town. How Simon, Zoe, Richard and CEG fit together is the mystery the game slowly answers, and we keep that for the spoiler page.

- Explore St. Amelia in first person: its shorefront, a medical centre, a company housing estate and the CEG offices.
- Avoid or fight what lives in the fog. Melee is about swinging and blocking, firearms are scarce, and sneaking past or luring enemies away with noise is often the better choice.
- Tune the CRTV to pick up threats nearby, story fragments and clues, which feed narrative puzzles built around codes, tapes, phones and documents.
- Save at phone booths. There is no chapter select, so some trophies and endings need planning.
Is it connected to the other Silent Hill games?
No. Townfall is a standalone story with its own town and cast, and you need no knowledge of earlier games. It keeps the series' ideas, a fog-bound place shaped by guilt and an Otherworld that twists real locations, and it is the first full-length Silent Hill played in first person.
